Usain Bolt(second from the right) of Jamaica and his teammates react after winning the men's 4x100m relay final at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin, capital of Germany, August 22, 2009. Jamaica won gold with 37.31 seconds.
Usain Bolt won his third gold medal after leading Jamaica to the men's 4x100 meters relay title at the World Athletics Championships on Saturday in Berlin.
Bolt, who won the 100m and 200m with jaw-dropping world records of 9.58 and 19.19, ran the third leg as Jamaica crusied to the victory in a world championships record of 37.31 seconds.
Trinidad and Tobago took silver in 37.62 seconds and Britain was third in 38.02.
Bolt and his three teammates clocked a world record 37.10 seconds to win the gold at last year's Beijing Olympics.
"The relay was really very much fun," Bolt said. "It is always more fun then to run alone. "
He added, "Winning three gold medals in Berlin is wonderful, I am proud of myself."
Bolt said jokingly that it is his fault not to break the world record. "It is a little bit my fault. I was little tired."
He denied that he has become a legend after becoming the first man in history to hold three Olympic and world titles of 100m, 200m and 4x100m relays at the same time.
"I don't think so. Year after year, I have to become champion and champion again (to become a legend)."
The United States was disqualified on Friday after running fastest for Saturday's final in the semis.
